With a cozy living room, newly furnished, very comfortable bedrooms, a well-kept garden with a large pool and BBQ area, the surf lodge offers you a lot of comfort. After you've exhausted yourself in the surf course or while guiding, you can lie on the lawn or chill by the pool with a drink and snack from the bar. Yoga in the garden is ideal for stretching muscles and building strength and balance for surfing.
The town of Santa Cruz and its beaches and spots can be reached on foot in 10 minutes - with the camp's own bikes you only need 3 minutes. By the way, you have a sea view from the terrace! You can also get to the center with a short walk or a short ride on one of the bikes that you can borrow for free. The beautiful coastal town invites you to visit typical Portuguese restaurants and to explore the bars and shops. You can easily find good food and drinks at reasonable prices. The team regularly goes to the village for dinner in the evening to provide you with culinary and cultural highlights. Incidentally, there are also free parking spaces in front of the Surflodge Santa Cruz.
Santa Cruz has beautiful beaches with empty line-ups and dreamy waves. It is not for nothing that the annual surfing contests of the World Surf Federation (WSL) are held on the lodge's home beach, Praia Santa Cruz. If the waves are too small here, you will easily find a suitable spot due to the location of the lodge between Ericeira and Peniche. Sonny
Andy, who is just called "Sonny" by everyone, is a really happy nature & Italian professional longboarder. With his relaxed and friendly manner, Sonny will teach you how to surf and show you the first steps on the surfboard. Sonny is Italian vice champion & surfs on the European longboard tour. Sonny has the ISA Level 2 surf instructor license & is a trained beach lifeguard.
The Surf Lodge Santa Cruz has two 4-bed rooms.
A 4-bed room shares a bathroom with a double room. The other 4-bed room has its own bathroom. The beds and furnishings are completely new, you have free WiFi and a sound system that you can connect your cell phone to via an aux cable.

Surf Lodge Santa Cruz is run by die-hard surfers and their surf school is their pride!
The surf course takes place over 5 days and includes 2 sessions per day. So you always get into the water for 3 to 4 hours. The first session is an intensive course unit with the surf instructor, the second session is a free surf unit in which you practice what you have learned. The surf instructor is there and gives feedback. In addition to practice, there are also 2 theory units in the surf lodge and video coaching.
Price: 249 €* *In the high season the booking of the course is obligatory. For families and groups of 8 or more people. at least 50% must book the course.

With surf guiding you can surf as much as you want or can. There is a minimum of 10 sessions per week, 3 of them with video coaching. You'll surf performance boards and be shuttled to the best spots on the west coast - from Caparica (1 hour south) to Ferrel (40 minutes north). If the conditions are right, we also head for Ericeira and Peniche. Surf guiding is only possible in the low season.
Rental:
The material is already included in the courses and guiding. In the low season you have the opportunity to go surfing on your own and to rent our equipment. We have a large selection of boards and shapes for you! The founders of the surf camp are passionate surfers and are sure to have the right shape for you. From performance boards to longboards to fun boards, everything is available. There are also retro boards and alternative shapes. Register your board request in advance and we will reserve it for you. Only available in the low season for experienced surfers (min. 4 weeks surfing experience). From 18 years.
Surf Spots:
With the multitude of spots, there is the right wave for every level.
The beginner surf courses usually go to the nearby beaches of Praia Azul, Santa Cruz and Santa Rita. Over 30 surf spots can be reached in less than 30 minutes, so we can always hit the spots with the best conditions on the coast. With Ericeira and Peniche we even have two world-class spots up our sleeves.
Surfing and yoga form a perfect pair of body control, balance, strength and mind. The yoga sessions take place in the garden or indoors. The best time to do this is in the morning or evening before sunset.
Guests of the Surf Lodge Santa Cruz can use the beach cruisers that are available in front of the house. On the comfortable bikes you can explore the coast, ride into the city center and check out the waves of the region.
The tour list includes wine tasting and a trip to Obidos. All activities can be booked spontaneously on site.
Obidos is one of the most picturesque towns in Portugal. The city center is characterized by cobblestones and traditional houses. Obidos is surrounded by a city wall. Since the Queen of Portugal ruled over this city, everything is well maintained and preserved.

While you can be in Ericeira in just 30 minutes by car, it takes 2.5 hours by public transport. By bus to Torres Vedras(From Lisbon) Torres Vedras is the nearest major city, which is about 17 km from Santa Cruz. Arriving at Lisbon airport, take the red line metro to San Sebastiao, Alameda is the stop where you change to the green line towards Telheiras. Getting off at the Campo Grande stop, you will find the 702 or 701 bus to Torres Vedras. Once there, it is only about 45 minutes to Torres Vedras. Payment: The down payment of 20% of the travel price is payable immediately and to be transferred to our account stating the invoice number, plus any immediately payable services, such as insurance, processing fees or stop and airport surcharges. The balance is to be transferred no later than 30 days before departure also under indication of the invoice number on our account. For bookings less than 4 weeks before departure, the entire amount is due immediately and send a screenshot of the transfer by e-mail to us to avoid reminder fees.
